Azalai Urban Souk is an intimate restaurant and exceptional concept store founded by Khouloud Belkahia in early 2020, precisely as Marrakech entered lockdown. Having previously managed a collection of boutique hotels, Belkahia deeply understood a core luxury principle: "People have an incredible sensitivity to detail—a sensitivity measured not by material worth, but by emotional value, by a detail that tells a story."

Driven by a passion for gastronomy and curation, she showcases exclusive, handcrafted tableware designed by local artisans—such as contemporary flat-lidded tagines and poetic three-legged cups, all available for purchase. These artisanal pieces beautifully complement a wholesome, forward-thinking Moroccan menu. Authentic flavors and heritage techniques are reimagined for today's dining habits: vibrant quinoa bowls take the place of traditional couscous, elevated with avocado and chermoula-marinated shrimp, alongside gluten-free pastries that are as indulgent as they are refined.
